Do you have a curious 3rd-5th grader who wonders how things work? Does he/she take things apart or enjoy designing and building? If so, we have designed a camp just for them. July 6th through 8th, 9 am – noon, this camp will give your young dreamer a chance to engage both their brain and hands simultaneously! This is a project-based learning environment where experimenting is encouraged. Your little Einstein will have so much fun they won’t even realize they are stepping through the engineering process. They will design, build, test and redesign; while learning to brainstorm, communicate and use teamwork. These skills will allow them to achieve a working solution to the given challenge. In an effort to give our daily campers a safe/sanitized environment, we have put in place extra measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We will operate under the guidelines for youth day camps mandated by the Governor and the Ohio Department of Health, such as but not limited to reduced staff to child ratios, daily temperature checks for staff and campers, daily symptom assessments, rigorous hand washing procedures and masks/face shields for staff and volunteers. Register on the WACO website, wacoairmuseum.org, or call 937-335-9226 The WACO Air Museum is located at 1865 S County Rd 25A, Troy, OH 45373. Support has been provided by Ohio Humanities, the National Endowment for the Humanities and the federal CARES Act of 2020.
