WPAFB First Flight Ceremony & Fly-Over at Wright Brothers Memorial

In Celebration of the 121st Anniversary of Flight:

On Tuesday, December 17, 2024 a First Flight Ceremony will be held at the Wright Brothers Memorial, 2380 Memorial Road, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio 45433. The memorial is next to the Huffman Prairie Flying Field Interpretive Center, part of the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Park. The 88th Air Base Wing at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base holds an annual celebration of the anniversary of the Wright brothers' first powered flight, which occurred on December 17, 1903. The program will begin at 10:05 AM culminating with a fly-over by an Air Force C-17 at 10:35 AM.
