Homebuilt, Light Sport and Ultralight Aircraft: Fun Ways to Fly:

“Homebuilt, Light Sport and Ultralight Aircraft: Fun Ways to Fly” will be presented on March 20th, 2025 at 7 PM at WACO Air Museum. Brian Meyer, WACO Member, pilot and aircraft designer/builder will present the details of different forms of sport aviation and uses some of his aircraft projects as examples. This is the fourth lecture of the WACO Aviation Lecture Series for the 2024/2025 lecture season.

 

Brian has been a member of the WACO Historical Society for about 30 years. He has over 20,000 hours of aircraft construction experience and has built and test flown 8 aircraft, including 5 aircraft that he designed. He has over 2,000 hours of flight time in airplanes, gliders, and ultralights and previously held an FAA aerobatic competency (low altitude air show) card. He also holds Airframe and Powerplant mechanic certificates. Brian is a retired aeronautical engineer who spent over 40 years with major airplane, helicopter, turbine engine and propeller manufacturers, including 20 years as an FAA engineering designee.

 

All aviation lectures are free and open to the public and are held in the Willis Wing of the WACO Air Museum at 1865 South County Road 25A in Troy, OH. Programs are scheduled to last one hour, beginning at 7 p.m., with questions to follow. Doors will open at 6:30 PM. Donations to the WACO Air Museum are gratefully accepted. All lectures are sponsored by Collins Aerospace. For questions, please call 937-335-9226 or visit www.wacoairmuseum.org.
