Champaign Aviation Museum - Thursday, May 8th - 10:00am - 1:00pm

Presented by Bill Albers & CAM Volunteers

Join us at the Champaign Aviation Museum for an extraordinary seminar marking 80 years since Victory in Europe Day. Together, we will reflect on the historic significance of this pivotal moment, honoring the triumphs, sacrifices, and enduring legacy of the Allied victory in World War II. This special event will feature renowned WWII historian Bill Albers, who will delve into the resilience, unity, and hope that emerged from one of history's darkest chapters.  Structed as a 3-part event, this seminar will begin with a presentation in the CAM library to cover the events occurring between 1914-1945 which contributed to the U.S. entrance into WWII and D-Day, followed by a break for seminar attendees to explore the Museum and talk with our B-17 restoration volunteers.  The seminar will then resume in the CAM library with a presentation covering the events occurring between 1945-1953, culminating in our country's post-war economic boom and the beginning of the Cold War.  Let us come together to honor the past, celebrate progress, and reaffirm our commitment to a peaceful and united future.

We look forward to seeing you at the Museum!
