4th annual Tour de Gem - Sunday, 10 October 2021

Join me in supporting The Wright Brothers Family Foundation!

It's time for the 4th annual Tour de Gem | The Wright Brothers Cycling Classic charity bike ride!

Illustrating how fragile aviation heritage is here in Dayton, there is a particular need on the heels of learning that we are going to lose the site of the Wright brothers' first bicycle shop to the wrecking ball. However, there is also good news, there are plans for the deed to The Wright Company factory, America's first purpose-built airplane manufacturing plant, to be transferred to the National Park Service by the end of this year. This step will allow the NPS to begin plans to restore Buildings 1 & 2 and plan programming for the general public to be able to visit the facility in the future and gain powerful insights and inspiration to the wonders of early Wright brothers' aviation history.

Please join me as a rider for the benefit of The Wright Brothers Family Foundation. And, if you're not able to ride, please consider a donation to enable the foundation to fund research and publications, award scholarships, develop educational programming, and restore aviation artifacts, landmarks and memorials, and more. 100% of your donation goes to the foundation. And, if you simply want to write a note of encouragement, we'll graciously accept that motivation, too! Visit the Tour de Gem website: The Wright Brothers Family Foundation (https://www.ms-stride.org/tourdegem/profiles/team/29) & my personal page (https://www.ms-stride.org/tourdegem/profiles/registrant/KennethBotts) for more details regarding the event. The charity bike ride is Sunday, 10 October 2021. So, don't delay. Sign up today! Let me know if you have any questions.

Thank you very much for your support!
