Still Flying After All These Years...and more

Collins Aerospace to upgrade B-52 wheel and brake system:

One year ago, on April 15, 2020, the Aviation Trail blog series "This Month in Aviation History" featured a story on the 68th anniversary of the first flight of the Boeing B-52 Stratofortress in 1952. The story provided some background on the history of the B-52, plus its Dayton connection in the design stage. (CLICK HERE to see last year's blog post).

Now, one year later, an announcement by Collins Aerospace on its Air Force contract to provide wheel and brake improvements opens the astounding possibility that the aircraft will continue in USAF operation for another three decades, and achieve a full century of service: https://www.airforce-technology.com/news/collins-aerospace-upgrade-usaf-b-52-wheel-brake/ . Collins Aerospace is located at 101 Waco St, Troy, OH 45373.
