THE HOLIDAY LIGHTS DISPLAY & GRAND ILLUMINATION
Friday November 26, 2021 - January 02, 2022

For ten years now, the Armstrong Air & Space Museum has been inaugurating the holiday season by illuminating their grounds with a vast array of festive and colorful lights known as the Holiday Lights Display. The overall exhibition contains a multitude of space-themed displays made from tens of thousands of lights, with prominent works including a twenty-foot-tall Saturn V rocket and a giant Apollo-era astronaut saluting the American flag.

The Display officially kicks-on at 7:00 p.m. on November 26th, when the lights are turned on for the first time during the "Grand Illumination" event. The museum itself will be open as part of the event for guests to shop or visit from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.

The lights will be on for guests to enjoy from dusk until dawn every night until the end of the year. Holiday lights will be spread periodically throughout the museum grounds to allow guests to social distance if they so choose.

Guests are asked to refrain from touching lights, sculptures, or cords. If you take any pictures of the lights throughout the holiday season please post them using #AASMLights. Donations will be accepted on-site and online at https://www.armstrongmuseum.org/join-support/donations. The guestbook can also be found on our website at https://armstrongmuseum.org/events/armstrong-event/armstrong-air-space-museum-annual-holiday-lights-display. Please leave your comments and let us know what you think! The Holiday Lights Display is weather permitting. The store and restrooms are not regularly open, and there is no food or beverage available.
