2014 Events - a Review

August 8, 2014 - RAMPFEST (5-9pm)

RAMPFEST located at Wright Brothers Airport (Commander Aero) was a free event on Friday, August 8, 2014 starting at 5:00 pm and ending at 9:00 pm. There was a Parachute fitting demo and table display for promotional materials.

August 17, 2014 - ATI Picnic Basket Event 
 

​​On Sunday, August 17, ATI went back to the hill - the Wright-Brothers Hill at Wright-Patterson AFB for a picnic and informative talk about the Wright's glider experiments. As in previous years, there was picnic food and entertainment for the kids.

September 6, 2014 - AERO Carnival

​​

The National Park Service's AERO CARNIVAL at Huffman Prairie.  Free, Saturday afternoon.  ATI showed the silent film "Wings" in the Wright Hangar and provided pretzels and lemonade to the visitors.

September 7, 2014 - Ice Cream Social

​​

National Park Service sponsored ICE CREAM SOCIAL at the Wright Brothers Memorial.   Free, Sunday 12:00 pm-2:30 pm. ATI distributed ice cream to the public.

 

December 17, 2014 - Celebration of the 111th Anniversary of First Powered Flight

ATI's Celebration of the 111th Anniversary of FIRST POWERED FLIGHT in 1903 honoring the Wright Brothers. The location was the Presidential Banquet Center, Wednesday December 17, with Reception at 6:00 pm and Dinner at 7:00 pm.  This was a ticketed event.
